What Are The Differences Between Sugarcane Pulp And Starch-based Products

Sugarcane pulp, also known as bagasse, is a byproduct of sugarcane production. Sugarcane pulp is also  compostable, which means it breaks down easily and doesn't harm the environment.


Starch-based products are made from corn starch+Plastic , which are produced using renewable resources like corn . These containers can come in a variety of textures and thicknesses and are designed to break down more quickly than traditional plastic containers. They're often used for drinks and snacks that have a shorter lifespan than a full meal.


So, what are the differences between the two? Sugarcane pulp is often considered the more eco-friendly option because it's made entirely from a byproduct that would otherwise go to waste. It's also more heat-resistant than starch-based products, which makes it better suited for hot foods.  Starch-based products, on the other hand, are more versatile and can be customized to fit a wider range of food items. They also tend to be a bit more cost-effective than sugarcane pulp. But it's can't be called compostable.


Ultimately, the choice between sugarcane pulp and starch-based products depends on the specific needs of your business.
